The HSK-A shank mandrels for ER collets are made of high-quality hardened and ground steel. The HSK-A connection is used for mounting with automatic tool change on machine tools, particularly for machining and milling centers. They feature a central coolant passage through a connecting tube. Designed with a feed groove on the edge of the cone and grooves on the flange.

A key feature is the central through-coolant passage, equipped with a coolant adapter for efficient heat dissipation during high-speed machining. Coolant grooves on the taper and flange further enhance coolant flow, improving chip evacuation and tool life.
The adjustable runout (±0.1 mm) allows for fine-tuning precision: by loosening screws B and adjusting screws A, optimal alignment can be achieved. The chuck also includes a hexagonal clamping nut for easy ER collet changes, complying with DIN ISO 15488 (DIN 6499) standards to ensure a secure and repeatable grip.
