To guarantee the indicated measuring accuracy, the micrometer contacts must rest at least 75% of their length on the wall of the workpiece.

The three-point digital micrometers for internal use are supplied with comparator code 2959111 and striker ring up to a measuring range of 100 mm. For higher measuring ranges the use of Master rings is recommended.

The three points, being precisely spaced 120° apart, allow the internal micrometer to precisely position the micrometer's axis on the axis of the hole, detecting the internal diameter measurement with extreme precision, ensuring a consistent and repetitive measurement.
