The sound level meter is a compact, portable device with various functions, including peak measurement, Leq calculation, and adjustable measurement intervals. It features a MAX function that allows freezing the maximum value on the display, making it easier to analyze if a limit has been exceeded. Its key feature is the Leq value, which, after setting the measurement time, indicates the continuous equivalent sound level, i.e., the time-weighted average of the total noise exposure over the selected period.

It includes a memory capable of storing up to 99 values, which can be directly recalled on the screen. The backlit display makes data reading convenient. Additionally, it has an auto shut-off function that turns off the meter after 10 minutes of inactivity to conserve battery life.

When the battery symbol appears on the screen, it is necessary to replace the three 1.5V AAA batteries. This Class 2 sound level meter is used in workplaces to ensure workers' acoustic protection or to quickly measure ambient noise levels.

The associated acoustic calibrator operates at a calibration frequency of 1000 Hz with a sine wave. Compared to other calibrators, the PCE-SC 43 offers three reference levels: 94 dB, 104 dB, and 114 dB. The reference level can be changed by simply pressing a button. This calibrator, unlike others, includes an additional reference level of 104 dB and operates with an accuracy of 10.4 dB. These features allow for checking and adjusting the accuracy of sound level meters. Additionally, a UNI EN ISO 9001 certification can be requested.

The acoustic calibrator is powered by 2 x 1.5V AA batteries, providing approximately 50 hours of battery life. The auto shut-off function turns off the device after 20 minutes of inactivity to preserve battery life.
