Gaspari eccentric back spotfacers are precision tools designed for the machining of recessed hex socket screw seats ISO 4762 on the underside of a workpiece, relative to the spindle interface of the CNC machine. Their main feature lies in the ability to perform counterboring operations from below without repositioning the part, thus optimizing cycle times and ensuring maximum efficiency and accuracy.

During operation, the tool enters the hole and, thanks to its carbide shank or eccentrically mounted inserts, generates a controlled off-center rotation that forms the diameter of the counterbore. Subsequently, the machine spindle, moving along the vertical axis, enables chip removal and the accurate formation of the screw head seat, guaranteeing excellent surface finish and dimensional precision.
