The carbide machine brazed sleeve reamers are designed for precision reamed holes in metals. Made from K10 micrograin, the 1:30 tapered shank allows the replacement of sleeve reamers of different diameters while maintaining the same machine spindle for sleeve reamers. This mounting method offers significant cost savings, as the sleeve reamer is more compact than a solid reamer. This advantage becomes even more significant for large-diameter reamers.
For this reason, the minimum reaming diameter starts from 20 mm. The 1:30 tapered shank ensures a precise and rigid clamping of the sleeve reamer. The combination with the Morse taper shank also guarantees perfect coaxiality with the machine tool's axis of rotation. Sleeve reamers follow the same methods and precautions as machine reamers.
The same cutting parameters, as well as the use of lubricants and coolants, are applied to maintain the sharpness of the cutting edges and ensure a good hole finish.
