The BLU inserts from Carmex are coated with a triple layer and made from micrograin. They are designed for machining on CNC machine tools and with spindle sliding headstock swiss type. They are suitable for machining low and high-alloy carbons, stainless steels, steel alloys and cast iron. Grinding of the cutting edge preserves the micrograin during machining. The cutting speed is between 40 and 130 meters per minute, depending on the material and the machining parameters such as cooling lubricant and cutting depth. The application is ideal for the production of turned parts for valves and small metal parts.

BLU inserts designed and manufactured by Carmex, are triple-coated inserts made of micro-grain designed for stock removal machining on CNC and sliding headstock or Swiss type of machine tools. The use of this insert is found in the machining of low and high carbon steels, stainless steels, steel alloys, cast iron and steel castings. By coating and lapping the cutting edge, the micro grain of the insert is maintained during the chip removal operation. They find the excellent application for machining steel castings, austenitic stainless steels, stainless steel castings, cast iron castings.

Parts made with this type of insert, allow the production of turned valve parts in the automotive, aerospace, precision turned small metal parts.
The cutting speed parameters for the Carmex BLU insert, turns out to be customized and calculated according to the material to be machined.
The cutting speed as seen from the table, turns out to be between 40 and 130 meters per minute. The correct choice has to be identified through many factors such as: type of coolant used, chemical composition of the material to be processed, chipability and chip control while processing the material, depth of pass, machine condition.

The tool feed rate depends greatly on the degree of finish and roughness of the workpiece and the depth of pass to which the insert is subjected. An aid to the correct choice of tool feed is provided by the constant monitoring of the temperature developed during the chip removal activity and the evacuation of the from the working area of the machine tool.
Tadaah is able to offer a service the customer in the development and optimal choice of machining parameters, sharing and analyzing defective parts given with the customer, also offering a consulting service for the identification of any machining problems, checking with the customer the current state of rigidity of the machine tool.
