The ER-HSK40E chuck is a precision tool-holder designed for use with cylindrical shank tools according to DIN ISO 15488-B. It features an HSK40E shank, adhering to the DIN 69893-5 standard, which allows for high rigidity and accuracy during machining operations. The chuck accommodates ER collets, available in sizes ER11, ER16, and ER25, making it versatile for various tool diameters. The special care taken in manufacturing allows for a maximum concentricity error of less than 8 microns (< 0.008 mm) detected at a distance of 2.5xD. The perfect balance of G2.5 safely allows spindle rotation up to 25,000 rpm or with a maximum residual imbalance of Umax<1gmm.  Due to its robust and precise construction, it ensures high reliability and high-performance during use.

It is intended for clamping cylindrical shank tools by means of collets in compliance with DIN ISO 15488-B, ensuring maximum compatibility and versatility in a wide range of applications.

The ER system stands out for its wide clamping range, which allows secure holding of tools with different shank tolerances, simplifying tool management and reducing the need for dedicated holders. A key feature is the G2.5 balance grade, which ensures optimal performance even at high rotational speeds, minimizing vibrations and wear. This chuck is capable of reaching a maximum rotational speed of 25,000 rpm, making it particularly suitable for High Speed Cutting (HSC) operations and for applications that require extreme reliability of the clamping system.
