Röhm HMG Pro live centre with wear-resistant carbide insert, draw-off nut, hardened and ground body and 60° tip angle. Designed for counter-clamping workpieces on turning and grinding machines, it offers high wear resistance, a three-bearing system for high axial and radial loads and concentricity deviation up to 0.005 mm. The draw-off nut supports easier removal and maintenance.

Röhm HMG Pro live centres with carbide insert and draw-off nut are precision components designed for counter-clamping and workpiece support during turning and grinding operations. They are suitable when the workpiece must be supported in a stable way during rotation, maintaining accurate centring and reducing vibration, deflection and instability that may affect tolerances, surface finish and dimensional repeatability. The carbide insert on the centre point increases wear resistance in the contact area, making the live centre suitable for continuous machining, demanding production cycles and applications where accuracy must remain stable over time.

The HMG Pro series combines the technical features of high-performance live centres with a hardened and ground body, adding a draw-off nut for easier removal from the machine seat or support system. This feature is especially important in workshops and production departments where setups are changed frequently, where machine downtime must be reduced or where the live centre is mounted in seats with a strong fit. The draw-off nut allows more controlled removal, reducing the risk of damaging the seat, shank or live centre body during maintenance or replacement.

The hardened and ground body ensures rigidity, accurate fitting and wear resistance. Hardening improves the component’s ability to withstand mechanical stress and intensive working cycles, while grinding contributes to geometric quality and mounting stability. The 60° tip angle is suitable for most centring and support applications on shafts, pins, bushes, cylindrical parts, metal components and turned parts.

One of the most important technical features of the HMG Pro is the wear-resistant carbide insert, designed to provide longer service life than a standard centre point. This insert is especially useful when the live centre works on abrasive materials, alloy steels, hardened components within the application limits, parts produced in repetitive cycles or machining operations where contact between the point and the workpiece centre is prolonged. Higher wear resistance helps maintain the geometry of the point more consistently and reduces progressive loss of accuracy, with direct benefits for concentricity, surface quality and process continuity.

The internal three-bearing system allows the live centre to withstand high axial and radial loads while maintaining smooth rotation and stability even under demanding operating conditions. This makes the HMG Pro suitable for both turning and grinding, where workpiece support must be accurate, regular and reliable. The specified maximum concentricity deviation of 0.005 mm is an important value for high-precision machining, helping reduce runout errors, ovality, form defects and dimensional variations.

This category is intended for machine shops, turning departments, grinding departments, preventive and corrective maintenance, automotive companies, aerospace manufacturers, machine-tool builders and turned-part producers. The HMG Pro is particularly suitable when stable support, long point service life, easier removal and consistent accuracy are required in industrial production cycles. Correct selection of the live centre must consider machine size, working loads, rotational speed, material being machined, setup-change frequency and required precision level.

Tadaah offers Röhm HMG Pro live centres with carbide insert and draw-off nut as a technical solution for professionals requiring a reliable, precise component suitable for demanding machining. The combination of hardened and ground body, 60° tip angle, carbide insert, three-bearing system, high concentricity and draw-off nut makes this series suitable for production environments where support quality, durability and maintenance practicality directly affect productivity and final workpiece accuracy.
