Solid carbide end mill with Z2 geometry, 2 flutes, 35° helix and 90° flat center cutting end, available in different dimensional variants and selectable with TiSiN or AlTiN coating. Suitable for slotting, pocketing, profiling, light face milling, end milling and finishing of vertical walls. TiSiN is designed for universal machining on steels, stainless steels, cast irons, copper, titanium and superalloys up to 55 HRC; AlTiN is ideal for alloy steels, tool steels, stainless steels, cast iron and hardened steels under high cutting temperatures.

The solid carbide end mill is designed for precision milling operations on CNC machining centres, automatic machines and conventional machine tools where process stability, dimensional accuracy and consistent surface quality are required. The Z2 two-flute geometry with 35° helix supports efficient chip evacuation and controlled cutting forces, making the tool suitable for slotting, pocketing, interpolation, profiling, light face milling, end milling and finishing of vertical walls. The 90° flat end geometry with center cutting capability allows frontal entry into the material, machining of flat bottoms and accurate control of walls, shoulders and profiles, helping to reduce vibration, geometric errors and surface defects.

The configurable family includes different dimensional variants that can be selected according to diameter, useful length, cutting length and overall length, allowing the tool to be adapted to machining depth, workpiece accessibility and the rigidity required by the application. The coating selection also makes it possible to optimise the cutter according to the material and cutting conditions. The TiSiN coating is suitable for stable universal machining on steels up to 55 HRC, stainless steels, cast irons, copper, titanium and superalloys, providing good wear resistance and reliable performance in finishing, slotting and contouring operations. The AlTiN coating is especially suitable when high temperatures are generated in the cutting zone, as it promotes the formation of a protective aluminium oxide barrier that improves oxidation resistance and reduces abrasive and adhesive wear. For this reason, it is recommended for alloy steels, construction steels, tool steels, stainless steels, cast iron and hardened steels, especially in high-speed milling, reduced coolant conditions, dry machining and near-dry machining strategies.

For reliable performance, the correct version should be selected according to material, depth of cut, radial engagement and machine rigidity, using precise toolholding systems such as high-quality collet chucks, high-rigidity holders or shrink-fit holders. Reducing runout, limiting tool overhang and correctly setting feed rate, cutting speed and depth of cut help improve tool life, process repeatability and finishing quality. This end mill family is suitable for mechanical workshops, CNC production, mould making, automotive manufacturing, industrial maintenance and precision metalworking, where a versatile and configurable tool is required for technical machining on different metallic materials.
