155.000 Floating reamer holder with internal cooling for ER11, ER16, ER20, ER25, ER32, ER40 collets, cylindrical shank of your choise
(Incl. Tax: €230.58)
Floating boring tool holders with internal cooling, compatible with ER collets, are designed for high-precision machining. Featuring radial movement R and pendulum movement G, they compensate for misalignments between the spindle and workpiece. Ideal for DIN 6499/B collets. Perfect for boring operations, they ensure precision, flexibility, and efficient cooling, making them suitable for demanding industrial applications. With spring force (1) keeps the tool centered even in a horizontal position. The screw (2) adjusts the spring pressure to control the radial movement. By loosening the collar (3) by 0.1/0.2 mm, the reamer is allowed to have a pendulum motion.

Floating chucks DIN 6499/B represent an advanced and highly technological solution for high-precision machining applications, such as rigid tapping on lathes and CNC machining centers. Thanks to their innovative ball-based oscillation system, these chucks can compensate for any misalignment between the machine spindle and the workpiece. This feature is particularly useful for ensuring greater precision during operations, minimizing the risk of tool or workpiece damage, especially in contexts where high-quality standards are required, such as in the aerospace, automotive, or medical component manufacturing industries.
The operation of these chucks is based on a spring mechanism (1), which keeps the tool centered, ensuring stability and precision during machining. The spring pressure can be adjusted using the screw (2), allowing for modulation of the radial movement sensitivity of the tool. This adjustment is crucial for adapting the chuck to different operational needs, ensuring an optimal response based on the type of machining and the material used. For example, when machining hard materials like tempered steel, the system's rigidity can be increased, while for softer materials, greater flexibility can be achieved.
Additionally, by loosening the pack by approximately 0.1-0.2 mm using the collar (3), the tool gains the freedom to oscillate, as shown in image G. This controlled oscillation further enhances the system's flexibility and adaptability, allowing the tool to compensate for minor misalignments or variations during machining without compromising the precision of the final result. This is particularly advantageous in rigid tapping operations, where even the slightest misalignment could lead to tool breakage or defects in the workpiece.

Floating chucks DIN 6499/B are particularly suitable for use with floating boring heads featuring internal cooling, compatible with ER collets. This combination optimizes performance during boring operations, ensuring efficient cooling and extended tool life. Floating boring heads are used on a wide range of production machines, including single-spindle and multi-spindle lathes, CNC machines, machining centers, drills, and transfer machines. They are primarily used for boring operations but are also employed in rigid tapping due to their ability to adapt to various machining conditions.
The oscillation on a double cage of axial bearings is one of the distinctive features of floating boring heads. This system compensates for misalignment between the machine spindle and the workpiece, ensuring high-quality machining and minimizing production waste. Floating boring heads are made from certified high-alloy steel, hardened, and fully ground to ensure maximum strength and durability. The entire production cycle is carried out in Italian facilities using high-precision machine tools, and each phase is rigorously controlled to ensure the highest quality of the final product.
The floating boring head is adjusted with minimal axial play, and the floating action of the boring tool is provided by radial oscillation. To keep the boring tool centered, the tool holder is equipped with a self-centering pin pushed by an adjustable spring based on the size of the mounted boring tool. This feature allows the system to adapt to different tool sizes, ensuring maximum precision and stability during machining.
