The minimum diameter is 20 mm, and they are also available in soldered carbide. The shank ensures precise gripping and coaxiality with the tool's rotation axis. They utilize cutting parameters and lubrication methods similar to those of machine reamers.
Machined HSS Sleeve Reamers - Model 150 - H7 Tolerance - For Machines
HSS sleeve reamers are designed for drilling precision reamed holes in metals. Made according to DIN 219 and UNI 6855 standards. The 1:30 taper taper attachment allows the replacement of sleeve reamers of different diameters while maintaining the same spindle replacement for sleeve reamers. This method of assembling sleeve reamers provides significant cost savings, as the sleeve reamer turns out to be smaller in size than a reamer made from solid. This method turns out to be even more advantageous for reamers with large diameters.
For this reason, the minimum reaming diameter starts from a diameter of 20mm. Large diameters can also be made from brazed carbide.
The 1:30 taper connection ensures precise and rigid clamping of the sleeve reamer. The combination of the morse taper attachment also ensures perfect coaxiality with the rotational axis of the machine tool.
Sleeve reamers involve the same method and precaution as machine reamers.
