The Weldon toolholder with SK interface is designed to ensure extremely secure and stable clamping of cylindrical shank tools with a lateral locking surface, making it ideal for operations that require high torque transmission and maximum safety. Thanks to the side-locking system, compliant with DIN 1835B and DIN 6535HB standards, the toolholder effectively prevents both torsion and accidental pull-out of the tool during heavy-duty machining, ensuring reliable and constant torque transfer. The clamping screw is included in the supply, providing practicality and readiness for use.
A distinctive feature of this toolholder is the peripheral Cool Flow cooling system, which directs coolant precisely to the cutting edge of the tool through dedicated channels. This allows efficient and targeted cooling, improving tool life, reducing wear, and ensuring excellent surface quality. The coolant channels can be easily closed with M3 screws, offering maximum flexibility depending on the machining requirements.
From a technical perspective, the toolholder guarantees a run-out accuracy of ≤ 0.003 mm measured at the taper, which enables high-precision machining and excellent surface finish. With a balancing grade of G2.5 at 25,000 rpm or Umax < 1 gmm, it is perfectly suited for high-speed applications, where dynamic stability and vibration reduction are essential to protect both the tool and the machine spindle.
Thanks to its rigidity, precision, and efficient cooling capability, this toolholder is widely used in demanding sectors such as automotive, aerospace, mold making, and precision engineering. The SK interface provides high stability and repeatable positioning, making the Weldon toolholder an indispensable solution for professionals and operators who demand consistent performance, reliability, and safety in the most challenging milling operations.
