(Incl. Tax: €472.14)
The SCHUNK TRIBOS-RM HSK-E 32 toolholder is designed for ultra-high-speed micro-machining up to 85,000 rpm. Backlash-free clamping ensures run-out < 0.003 mm at 2.5 x D, high rigidity and dynamic stability. With DIN 69893 interface, G2.5 balancing and compatibility with h6 tool shanks, it is ideal for HSC machining and precision finishing.

SCHUNK TRIBOS-RM HSK-E 32 polygonal toolholders are designed for ultra-high-speed micro-machining applications on HSC machines, where accuracy, dynamic stability and rigidity are essential for process quality. The HSK-E interface according to DIN 69893 is optimized for high rotational speeds, ensuring a highly precise and rigid connection between spindle and machine.
The TRIBOS clamping system is based on controlled elastic deformation of the internal polygonal profile. Using the TRIBOS SVP device, the clamping diameter is temporarily transformed into a circular shape to allow tool insertion. Once the pressure is released, the holder returns to its original geometry, clamping the tool shank uniformly and without backlash. This principle ensures a run-out below 0.003 mm at 2.5 x D, providing high precision and repeatability.
Compared to the HSK-E 25 version, the HSK-E 32 offers increased mass and a more robust structure, improving radial rigidity and stability in more demanding machining operations while maintaining excellent performance at speeds up to 85,000 rpm. Standard balancing G2.5 at 25,000 rpm (Umax < 1 gmm) ensures smooth and vibration-free operation.
The holders are designed for h6 tool shanks and feature an optional data chip seat compliant with DIN 69893, useful for tool identification systems. The design without threaded coolant connections helps maintain a compact geometry optimized for high dynamic performance.
This solution is ideal for micro-machining, high-speed machining, precision finishing and HSC applications requiring high accuracy, process stability and superior surface quality.

TRIBOS-RM HSK-E 32 – Technical features and benefits
| Product description | TRIBOS-RM is suitable for high-speed micromachining operations up to 85,000 rpm. Extremely high concentricity accuracy ≤ 0.003 mm and the rigidity provided by the anchor structure form the basis of these compact toolholder connections and guarantee precision and process reliability during machining. The various sizes are perfectly suited to small highly dynamic machining centers. |
| High radial rigidity | Stability at high cutting forces, good machining performance and therefore faster machining times and higher productivity |
| Small and compact design | Precise and reliable machining |
| Standard fine balancing | Suitable for high speeds with a balancing grade of G2.5 at 25,000 rpm |
| Total compatibility | Ideally combinable with TRIBOS SVL tool extensions |
| Constant concentricity and repeatability accuracy | ≤ 0.003 mm |
| Reduced machine setup times and costs | Fast and easy tool change with the TRIBOS-RM SVP clamping device |
| Excellent vibration damping | Micro blowholes are avoided and better workpiece surfaces are achieved, the machine spindle is protected, tool life is extended and therefore costs are reduced |
| Symmetrical rotation design | The rotationally symmetrical structure minimizes the interference contour and ensures a high rotational speed |
TRIBOS-RM HSK-E 32 – Technology and operating principle
| Technology | TRIBOS SVP actuation devices deform the polygonal shape of the toolholder until it becomes circular, making tool insertion possible. When pressure is released, the toolholder returns to its original polygonal shape, securely and precisely locking the inserted tool shank. |
| Element 1 | Anchor structure – The anchor structure ensures high stability |
| Element 2 | Base body – The machine-side interface is located on the base body |
| Element 3 | Compact design – For high radial rigidity and high run-out accuracy |
| Step 1 | Clamping diameter polygon-similar – By using the TRIBOS SVP clamping devices and the matching pressure actuation, the polygonal clamping diameter of the toolholder becomes round. |
| Step 2 | Clamping diameter becomes round – The tool shank is now easy to insert. |
| Step 3 | Inserting the tool shank – If the pressure on the clamping diameter eases off, then it will assume its polygonal shape again. |
| Step 4 | Tool clamped – The inserted tool shank is process-reliably clamped at a high repeat accuracy. |
