ISO Taper Toolholders

The spindle chucks with ISO taper (7:24) DIN 69871 or ISO2583 are also referred to with the abbreviations: JT – DAT – DV.
These spindle chucks are among the most widely used because they offer excellent flexibility of use on many machine tools, machining centers, and CNC milling machines. With this type of toolholder interface on the machine tool, it is possible to use, in addition to the DIN 69871 spindle chuck, also ANSI/ASME and IS spindle chucks.
The mounting of the DIN 69871 spindle chuck on the machine is carried out through a threaded tie-rod, which performs the traction locking of the ISO taper.
The spindle chucks sold and distributed by Tadaah are also manufactured with G6.3 and G2.5 balancing, offering a wide selection for the end-user, who determines the purchase based on rotation speed, machining accuracy, and machine rigidity according to their needs.
The spindle chuck features a thread and diameter to accommodate various tie-rods, an example of which is shown below. These are designed for different types and models of machine tools to enable automatic tool change, making the product flexible and modular.
The tie-rods are designed for mounting the spindle chucks on machine tools such as Kitamura, Hurco, Jis-B6339, Mazak, ISO7388, DIN69872, all available with or without coolant passage. 

The spindle chucks with ISO DIN 69871 taper, with or without additional fittings, can have a coolant passage inside the taper, inside the flange, or both. To identify the type of coolant passage in the spindle chuck, the following letters are added:
Below is an example of the coding for spindle chucks with coolant passage:
DIN 69871 (Taper size) -A without coolant passage (blind hole).
DIN 69871 (Taper size) -AD for oil passage through the central hole of the taper.
DIN 69871 (Taper size) -B for oil or coolant passage through the flange only.
DIN 69871 (Taper size) -AB for oil passage through the central hole and also through the flange.

The coolant passage can be modified based on the mounting of the screws shown in the technical drawing. This operation is usually carried out to optimally position the tool cooling system, ensuring efficient chip removal and cooling of the cutting edges.
